The Ghost of Walhachin by Ramona Nehring-Silver

His mother has married again and now she has no time for him.  He decides to spend the summer with his aunt and cousin in a small desert town.

Goddess Fish Blog and the author let me read this book for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

He didn't realize it would be so boring.  In Seattle, something was always going on.  The big excitement here is going to get an ice cream cone.

Then, one day, he sees another boy.  But that boy is transparent.  He's a ghost and he wants Kean to find his duffel bag so he can go to his final rest.  Kean decides it would be something to do and he needs that, so he says yes, he'll help.  Unfortunately the town has changed over the years and the boy's familiar landmarks aren't there anymore.  Not to worry, Kean can step through the ghost and go back to his time.

Kean searches until someone in his world calls his name and then he finds himself home.  The first search was short so they decide to do it after bedtime, when no one will be looking for him.  Kean searches but it's not where the boy left it.  Will Kean find it so the boy can go on?  Will he get caught?  Read the book and see.

Even though it has a ghost in it, the story seems real and it's fun to read.  I enjoyed it.  I bet you will too!
