The Lost Castle by Deborah Grant-Dudley


This was an interesting story.  It was set in Japan and had many different stories.

Cameron uncovers a story of priceless treasure, Samurai protectors, a cryptic message and a deadly weapon. Can he unlock the puzzle that has been waiting for over 300 years?

It takes a tale to find everything.  He made friends with a Japanese boy but had to leave him behind.

The ending is fine.

The Jungle Crew by Emma Scott


This is a picture book that starts with a lion.  As he walks along he adds to his crew.

The more animals, the merrier!  All the animals are different and most of them have their own eccentries.  The lion is the talker and most of the illustrations show you how the animals look.

This is a very good book for young ones.  I enjoyed reading it.  Will you?

A Gentle Murderer by Dorothy Salisbury Davis


The lady was dead.  She was hit with a hammer.  Who did it?

Ben Goldsmith is a cop and is trying to find the killer. The worst part is that no one knows who did it.

As it gets to the end of the book, you will know who did it.  It amazed me.

Holy Mole!


This is a picture book that has a young boy in it.

The young man is hungry but Viceroy is coming in two hours and they have to feed him

They work on it all together but the young boy gets in the way.  The tray of various goods, goes into into the soup.  

The soup is very popular and the Viceroy really likes it!

This was an interesting story.  A woman is found dead.  No one know who did it.

The man who did it was still on the island.  As time goes on, Nigel is missing.  He is not the killer.

It is the end that is telling you who the killer is.  Not someone I would suspect...

This was an interesting story.  They had found two murders but didn't know who did it.

One of them died in a slurry pit, the other one was shot.  

It's a twisted story and has politics in it.

This was a good story for young ones.

The boy went with his parents to the beach each summer.  This time he made friends with a pelican.

He took his boots off and played in the water.  He didn't notice that the tide was coming in.

He saved one boot but the other got away.  He got it back though.  The pelican got it for him!

The royal visit is coming to town.  Everyone gets busy to make 
Kingsleigh look like nice.

A young boy is found dead.  They knew Evan was after him and thought he may have killed him.  That wasn't true but the police are out after Evan...

Evan is hiding.  No one knows where he is.  He talks to Bea for a while and then quits.

They need red carpet but they can't find it.

It's a mess of twists and turns.  

The ending is good.  If you like mysteries, you'll like this book.

The Christchurch Dog show was going well until they find a dead body.  If that wasn't bad enough, they find another dead woman.

The ladies that were there and were friends decide to find out who killed them...

It takes a lot of questions and more than one suspect.

I had no idea who did it but it all came clear at the end.

It has lots of twists and turns.

Eventually she finds him and they decide to marry.

It was a good read.

The Mystery of the Blue Jar and The Witness for the Prosecution by Agatha Christie


These are two stories that make you wonder how she can write books like this.

I enjoyed both stories.  I think you will, too.  Agatha writes good stories.

The Mystery of the Blue Jar was good.  The Witness for the Prosecution is fake.  The woman wants to get rid of her man.

Ellie makes quiche but when the crowd eats it several of them get sick.  One dies.

She knows she didn't put anything in it that would do that.  So she decides she will find the killer.

She finds that the killer rides a bike.  There are several people who ride bikes.  Who did it?

It's an interesting mystery.  Everyone thinks Ellie did it but she didn't.

The killer gets rid of everybody she doesn't like.  But she can't get rid of the woman she doesn't like.

As the bodies build up, the group wonders who has done it.

This was an exciting book.  It was quite a busy story with Stars that take them like time travelling.  You never know what is coming next.

It keeps you busy reading.  You know it has various time sessions.  They even get to meet George Washington.

It'll keep you reading and wondering what the Stars will do next.  They are wonderful and take you anywhere in the past.

There are two more books in the series.  Read them all.

The box that was found in the lake has coins in it that are worth money.

Andy starts a list of those who might be killers.  The worst part is at the end when the killer confesses and then tries to kill Andy.

Lily is the one that the kids don't like and they make some bad words in her driveway.
