The Little Mouse, the Red Ripe Strawberry, and the Big Hungry Bear by Audrey Wood, Don Wood

The little Mouse looks out his door and finds a gorgeous red strawberry ready for picking.  He gets his ladder and goes out to pick it.  While he's harvesting it, he finds out there is a bear in the woods who loves strawberries too.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published September 15th.

The mouse tries all kinds of unique ways to hide his strawberry, but he knows the bear will find it.  So he does the most sensible thing, he cuts it in half, shes it with the narrator, and eats his half.  The perfect solution!
