Ray and his friends are still trying to stop the Gog from building his infernal machine. This time they've located him at the Chicago World's Fair...
Random House Children's Books sent me a copy of this young adult book for review (thank you). It is currently available at your local bookstore.
This story is a cross between steampunk and dystopian genres. It has mythological characters and includes folklore. It's also the final book in the Clockwork Dark series.
Ray and his friends must stop the infernal machine before the construction is completed or their world be irrevocably changed. What was will exist no more. What will be is so incomprehensible they don't even want to envision it.
The previous books in this series have been full of trials and tribulations and this final book continues in that mode. This is a war and not all of Ray's friends survive. He's not even sure if he's going to make it.
This story is action packed and an excellent ending to this series. If your young adult has been reading this series, I'm sure they are already drooling about getting a copy of this book. Why not surprise them with a gift: "Just Because"?
Happy reading.
