Remember "The Phantom Tollbooth?" This is a children's picture book by the same author. It's good, too.
Schwartz & Wade Books sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you). It has been published so you can acquire a copy at your local bookstore.
He doesn't want to move. He likes where he lives now. Why move to a new block, a new house, and a place where he knows no one? How's he going to make friends?
The illustrations are done by G. Brian Karas and look a bit old fashioned, which fits well with the simple story.
This is an entertaining look at how a small boy uses a unique technique for finding new friends. It made me smile and I'm sure your children will, too.
Check it out at your local bookstore or online. It would be a great book for a young one to read aloud to you; they can shout!
Happy reading.
