Scribbles and Ink by Ethan Long

This is a delightful children's picture book about two competing artists who have no respect for each other's work...

Blue Apple Books sent me an ebook of this story (thank you).  It will be available to purchase at your local bookstore this spring.

Ink is a mouse and he likes to paint.  Scribble is a cat who likes to draw with pencils.  Neither one is willing to say the other's artwork is nice.  Wait until you see what a big mess they make of the book pages and each other's work!

Luckily, they suddenly realize there may some value to sharing work and making an even better product.  Life then settles down between the two friends.

The illustrations are done in simple colors and the antics of the animals will make young ones laugh.  You can teach them about colors and about compromise all in one picture book.

Don't forget to pick up a copy next Spring.

Happy reading.
