Miss Seeton Sings by Heron Carvic

Miss Seeton is off on another adventure.  She's been requested by international authorities to help with banking fraud.  Her own police friends are flabbergasted. She never really knows what's going on and often ends up in some very dangerous situations.  Who can watch out for her in Switzerland?  Not to worry, that's not where she ends up anyway...

Farrago and Net Galley allowed me to read this book for review (thank you).  It was published June 16th.

When they have her wait in the airport coffee shop for her flight, she happens to notice a bag transfer.  It just happened to be counterfeit money and part of the fraud case they want her to work on.  All she noticed was that the man took the wrong bag, but the other man refuses to listen to her and tells her she's wrong.  She did notice he hummed a tune under his breath but she doesn't know what it is.  When she hums it later in the wrong time and place, she almost gets killed.  It's a signal, not just a song.

Those who are trying to protect her get beaten or killed.  She even ends up killing a couple inadvertently but doesn't realize it.  They want her dead so they can get away with their goods.  No such luck.  When that case has been resolved despite Miss Seeton, she gets to go to Paris to work on another.  My, that was exciting!  She even got a Paris gown as well as a gift for the her friends that are getting married.  She didn't know where the arm on it came from...

Miss Seeton's stories are humorous and fun to read.  She does impossible things and survives.  Just watch out for her umbrella!
