I remember Mr. Block as a crime author but he writes non-fiction, too. He also has a great sense of humor which even comes out in these short essays. There are book prefaces, author introductions, and a constant hunt for places with the name Buffalo on them.
Mr. Block shared a copy of this book with me for review (thank you). It has been published and you can grab a copy now.
It's like sitting around visiting with old friends. He's sharing pieces of his life with you. He talks about his writing and how it went, he talks about authors he's known on the road to writing. He mentions his father who died young and has a longer essay about his mother, who thought she was more exciting than that.
His humor shows through in his writing and so does his age. He's no spring chicken but he puts together great books that I enjoy reading.
Keep up the good work, Mr. Block!
