Undercover Kitty by Sofie Ryan, Series: Second Chance Cat Mystery (#8)

Sarah has a cat named Elvis.  She adopted him, he's a mix of cat breeds but he has a vibrant personality.  She's a member of the older Angel group who figures out mysteries.  The current mystery is who is trying to sabotage the cat show.   The ladies convince Sarah to enter Elvis in the show so they can detect.

Berkley and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published January 26th.

They snoop but find nothing.  Elvis takes second place.  Sarah visits with her friends then they all head for home.

It's real shock to learn the next day that one of those new friends has died in a fire from smoke inhalation.  Sarah is sure it is murder but it takes quite a while before the investigators agree with her.  Now they have another case to work.

Between cats, eccentric owners and the amount of people at the cat show it's hard to find much out.  But they don't give up.  It helps that Elvis is like a lie detector.  They can watch him and know if it's truth or a lie.

Sarah eventually starts to put bit and pieces together and comes up with a suspect.  It won't be easy to stop the suspect but the Angels take it on.  They find the killer and the cat show saboteur.  It was unexpected by me, but all's well that ends well.

Claw Enforcement by Sofie Ryan

Sarah is at a fundraiser.  She sees two men argue then walk away from each other.  The younger one goes to the bar but the bartender won't serve him any more alcohol.  She gives him a cup of coffee.  He takes one drink and collapses on the floor.  Sarah and Nick run to him and give him CPR but he's gone.  Rose says he was poisoned but Sarah waits for the autopsy to be done.  Rose was right...

Sarah feels bad because she and Nick couldn't save him.  The group of older ladies that meets in part of her shop start investigating.  She gets involved because she has relatives in that group and she drives some of them where they need to go.

They question everyone that knew him or had business dealings with him.  She's getting romantic feelings for Max but they are both busy and they can't even fit a date in.

When Sarah finally figures it out, it's a real shock who the killer is.  It's a good thing she has Elvis (her cat) to help her determine who is telling the truth and who is lying.

The Fast and the Furriest by Sofie Ryan

When an attractive female shows up at Sarah's store looking for Mac, she tells her he's out on a boat and won't be back until later.  She leaves her cell number and emphasizes she must talk to him.  Before she gets a chance to talk to him, she ends up dead.  The worst part is that cops think Mac did it!

Sarah just knows Mac wouldn't do that.  But how can she prove it?  She and her cat, Elvis, talk to the local PI and soon all the old ladies are on the case.  They drive the cops nuts, but they usually solve their cases...

It seems that Mac's past he never talks about is coming back to haunt him.  He has a wife.  She's in a coma and her family sued to become her guardian.  He moved away but the woman that came to visit was his wife's best friend.  What had she found out?

As they dig into the past, they find out all kinds of secrets but the hunt for the killer is elusive.  Was it her sister?  Her sister's husband?  The half-sister who is running her business in the ground? Or someone else?

This is good cozy mystery with a cat that has a sixth sense and two men who want Sarah so there's romance as well as mystery.  I'll have to read the next book in this series to see what happens with the romance.  I know which man I'd choose!
