The Flower Garden by Renee Kurilla

This is quite an adventure!   Two little girls plant a flower garden so bees will have a place to eat.

The little red-haired girl is the most adventurist.

As they wait for the seeds to grow, they take a nap.  While they are napping a gnome comes up and makes one plant grow.

The red-haired girl has a dream where she and her friend are small and the plants are big, It's quite exciting.

This is a graphic novel and the illustrations are luscious.  

Children will like reading this!

One Springy Singy Day by Renee Kurilla

This is a joyful book!  The illustrations are busy just like the children and most words end with a "y".  It will make you smile.

The children in this story are very active and have a good time together.  I almost got tired just by reading it.

It's a fun story about their busy day.  They are already anticipating tomorrow...

Chicks Rule! by Sudipta Bardhan-Quallen

These chicks are smart, all have various talents, and they want to join the Rocket Club.  When they see a notice that says "No Chicks Allowed", they get mad.  Why should they be discriminated against?

Renee Kurilla is the illustrator and you can look at the chicks and figure out what most of them do.  The illustrations are cute and add to the storyline.

The chicks find some room in a barn and begin building their own rocket.  They don't invite the roosters to help.  And they create their very own rocket...

Nothing makes me more intent to do something than for someone to tell me I can't.  I've proved "I CAN" several times in my life.  I could relate to this story and I enjoyed it.

Share it with your little one and teach her not to listen to naysayers.  She'll enjoy her life more.
