Kali Sweet is back again and she has even more challenges in this book. She's been sowing vengeance for three hundred years or so, but she never expected Queen Marie to return as a ghost...
The author graciously gave me a copy of this ebook to read for review (thank you). It has been published and you can get a copy on Amazon.
Kali has a hard enough time trying to control her demon in normal times but when a dead succubus is after her, it's worse.
This story has a little bit of everything. Witches, vampires, shapeshifters, zombies, demons of various sorts, and there is even a love story thrown in. It's action and adventure from one end to the other of this story.
One of my favorite parts of this story is that vengeful Kali who feels nothing for no one (OK, she's a bit fond of her boyfriend, but that's all) is suddenly developing feelings for those she works with. She likes having friends. She also wants to keep them alive.
You find a lot of violence and death in these pages, but it's just Kali's normal life. I enjoy her as a strong character who is determined to win her causes. I'm also interested in seeing how all her blood ties to the vamps work out. She's no longer a pure blood demon. How's that going to influence her?
Trust me, you won't be bored. If you like paranormal adventures, this book is for you. Buy the first one to better understand all the nuances in this second tale. If you don't, it's still a great story and will keep your attention.
Happy reading.

Revenge is Sweet by Misty Evans
Kali is not your average girl-next-door; she's a vengeance demon. She hates the fact she can't take vengeance for herself, but she can help others. She does what she needs to do, but she never intended to get bit by a vampire...
Ms. Evans graciously sent me a copy of her book for review (thank you). I enjoy her writing style and was happy to do so. You can grab a copy of this book from Amazon now.
When Kali heads out on a job, she has no idea she's going to run into the guy who left her standing at the altar three hundred years ago. That's when not being able to take her own vengeance really sucks. It doesn't help when he's still as hot as he always been and he wants to kiss her and resume their relationship.
Kali's troubles really start when she kills the vampire kingpin and her boss and the vampire leaders want her to become the vampire queen and take over the group. Her answer is not only no, but hell no! Does anyone listen? No.
The action is good, you find yourself rooting for Rad (her half-demon boyfriend that left her at the altar) and hoping he's not as bad as she's afraid he might be, and you aren't sure you can see a way out of the vampire troubles for her, but she's going to try...
This fantasy will keep you entertained all the way through. I enjoyed it a lot. Why not give it a try and see what you think?
Happy reading.

The Secret Ingredient by Misty Evans
Kate is a celebrity; a cooking star with her own TV show. But she made a mistake when she chose her last boyfriend...
The author sent me a copy of her ebook for review (thank you). You can purchase this book on Amazon, Smashwords, or Barnes and Noble.
Kate ran from home at 17, leaving behind her drunken father and a boy she loved, searching for a new beginning. She found that and was doing well, but her last boyfriend apparently was gay and now he was spreading rumors that she was the "gay" person. Her best bet right now is to lie low.
Then she finds out the big "dirt" reporter is going to go talk to her father about her. She knows no good can come from that. So she decides she might as well go home to Secret, Montana, and lick her wounds. She can do a show there, stop her father from talking to the reporter, and she might even see Nick again...
This is well paced romance/mystery story. It reads well, you get drawn into empathy with the characters, and Ms. Evans even surprised me with the identity of the killer. This was a fun mystery to read. Why not buy a copy for yourself?
Happy reading.

Entangled edited by Edie Ramer and Misty Evans
Let's see, we have vampires, werewolves, demons, witches, and more. And then you have some sensual to spicy romance. What's not to like about this collection of short stories and novellas?
One of the authors sent me a copy of this ebook for review (thank you). You can purchase a copy on Amazon. The best part about it is that the funds raised are going to be donated to the fight against breast cancer. I don't think anyone could say they didn't know someone who has suffered from this illness. This is a painless way to get some real good reading and do good at the same time. Go on, it'll make you feel better. Especially after you start this wonderful paranormal romance collection!
There are several authors involved, all donating their work to a good cause. Included are:
Halloween Frost by Jennifer Estep
The Fat Cat by Edie Ramer
Medium Rare by Nancy Haddock
Sweet Demon by Misty Evans
Sian’s Solution by Dale Mayer
A Bit of a Bite by Cynthia Eden
Sinfully Sweet by Michelle Miles
A Night of Forever by Lori Brighton
Feel the Magic by Liz Kreger
Breaking Out by Michelle Diener
Ghostly Justice by Allison Brennan
I enjoyed every story in this collection. I love magic and fantasy and most of these stories fit in that genre. It's a good way to sample the writing style of the various authors, too. They each have other works you can buy. If someone's story really tweaks your fancy, get yourself a book of theirs to read. Why not have fun reading?
Just remember that the purchase of this book also will help the fight against breast cancer. My Aunt had a mastectomy, so I understand the need to conquer this beast.
Happy reading.
