Everything was going well until Roger is murdered.  He got stabbed in the back.

Hercule uses his grey cells to figure it out.

There are a lot of people involved and several are suspects.  Who do you think killed him?

Sometimes Hercule has to wade through lies, stories, and more.  But he thinks, asked questions, and doesn't think the one the people think did it.  He sets out to prove it.

The endings is good.  Agatha writes good stories.

This is a short story that Hercule Poirot uses his gray cells to figure out.

There were two wills written and the last one is hidden.  He has to find it.

When he figures out where it is, he goes after it.  He's right.  It's is found and saves the house.

This is a story about a brothel.  There are prostitutes, a seventeen year old boy, and a sheriff.

The boy's Mom was a prostitute.  She's gone now and he has taken over her house.

As you read, things begin to square away.  The sheriff shuts them down.  The lawyer he hired is looking for loopholes.

It's a convoluted story with twists all the way through.

The Chocolate Box by Agatha Christie


This is another short story by Agatha.  She writes good stories.

A man is found dead.  The doctor thinks he died from natural causes but Hercule Poirot differs.  The box of chocolates found is in two different colors.  Why?

As it turns out, the man was poisoned by chocolates. Who did it?

Can you figure it out?  For me, it was a surprise who the killer was...

This is a short story that has several factors.  Agatha writes good stories.

The man the fella thought he saw wasn't there.  It has to be one of those in the house...

Hercule asks questions and gets answers but some of them are lies.  He manages to find out the truth.  Can you?

They want Hercule Poirot to find their cook.  He refuses, but then agrees.

This is a short story but it has plenty of twists and turns.  Hercule uses his grey matter to solve the mystery.  Hastings has an idea but it is fiction.

One of the missing is dead.  The cook Hercule finds and get her story.

Soon he has solved the mystery...

The Murder on the Links (Hercule Poirot Book 4) by Agatha Christie


This was an interesting story.  Hercule Poirot is using his grey cells to find the killer.  Before he finds out who did it, another man is dead.

He keeps looking and eventually gets the right person.  The romances are deadly.  The killer is a surprise.  

It's not a long book and has twists and turns that make it worth reading.

The Twins Take Over by Papa Paws


Two new dogs have been added to the family.  They are mischievous and chew on things they shouldn't.

Molly Paws doesn't like it when they chew on her.  She helps train them and soon they look at her as a big sister.

It's a short story and children will enjoy it.

The black cat talks to his owner and no one else hears him.  He rides on her shoulder most of the time.

They find a murdered man who happens to be her husband.  As she tries to find out who killed him, she finds other secrets, too.

The killer surprised me.  Think you can figure it out?

THE SKELETON GARDEN an utterly charming English garden murder mystery (The Potting Shed Mysteries Book 4) by MARTY WINGATE


Pru got a  home and a new husband.  She has the home for a year.  She and her husband work on making it look like a garden.

Unfortunately, they find a plane and a skeleton in the yard.  The skeleton has no ID.

Pru and her husband try to find out who he was.  

It takes some work but eventually they figure it out.

It is an interesting story and the murder is out of identity.  It was a good read.

He is a boy in a wheelchair and the police chief puts him in jail because his wheels match the thief's. He didn't do it but she doesn't believe him.

His house and he and his friends are flown out over the ocean and dropped.  Luckily they manage to get out with the help of friends.

There is one bad guy who wants to take over the world.  They locate him and manage to stop him.

They have animals that help them.  

It's a kid's book and they will enjoy it!

They had heard there was lost treasure in one of the caves.  People had gone to look before but never came back.  The caves had traps.

But Nonna Maria wants the treasure for her grand daughter so she finds a map and heads out.

It's a long mystery with the treasure found at the end.  It's dangerous and not for those who scare easily.

It will be published May 7, 2024.

It was a good read.

This was an interesting story.  There are two couples.  One is still loving, the other has the man looking at women and having affairs.

He has lost his family.  Yet the woman who likes him is his sister-in-law.  She's the one found dead.  Who could have killed her?

Susan has solved other mysteries, so she goes after this one.  It takes a lot of work.

I was surprised by the killer...

The Adventure of "The Western Star" by Agatha Christie


Agatha always writes good stories,

This time there are two diamonds that are being stolen.  They are big and are valuable.

At the end you learn there was only one and the other was a fake.  Hercules has the original diamond.  Don't ask him how he got it.

It's a short story and full of clues.

I enjoyed it.

Holy Mole! : A Folktale from Mexico by Caroline McAlister, Stefan Czernecki


He's a small kitchen boy and when an important person is coming to the monastery he has to hide.  He hears the person coming and rushes into the kitchen to hide.

He bumps into the monk who is carrying the food.  He's mortified.  But when he tastes the soup, he loves it.  So does the important person!

Last Acts by Alexander Sammartino


This is an interesting book.  The father learns his son was found dead and brought back to life.  He loves his son and is happy they are together again.

The story is a bit long and boring but you get the idea that they get along even if Nick sold everything.

At the end, the father needs to go in for surgery.

This book will be published January 23rd, 2024.

NEXT VICTIM an absolutely gripping crime mystery with a massive twist (Detective Rachel King Thrillers Book 1) by HELEN H. DURRANT


Rachel finds a body that has been murdered.  She's a cop so it doesn't disturb her as much.  Then another body is found.  Even more tortured.

She and ex-husband work together on this because her young daughter is missing.

It's not the only body that is found.  Her ex-husband finds her daughter.  

And she finds the killer.

It was a really disaster that led her to the killer.

It was a fairly good read.  Try it if you don't mind the graphic details of their deaths.

They find a dead man and her grandmother is jailed.  Kelly is ready to help her.  The sheriff tells her to keep out of it, but she doesn't listen.

Her Grams is a real character.  Kelly knows she didn't do it.  But to prove that will be difficult.

The investigation includes a lot of people.  The surprise is who the killer is!

It was a good read.

The Case twins pick up a hitchhiker who was down on his luck.  They didn't know they were getting into trouble. 

The man they picked up was just out of jail and he was going after the money he embezzled.

It gets really interesting in how much trouble they find themselves in.  There are all kinds of folks after them.  Even blowtorches and guns.

How will they manage to get themselves out of this?

This was a murder mystery.  First there is  cold case from years ago.  Then a young woman is killed.

There are three families involved.  They don't get along well.

PI Steve is blind.  He has a woman helping him but it takes quite a bit of investigating to find out who did it.

You'll be surprised!  Steve can tell where Amanda was killed and it wasn't where she was found.  He may be blind but he sees colors.

It was good read.

Enola is Sherlock Holmes' little sister.  When a rabid dog bit a man, she is trying to find him to take to the hospital.

Sherlock is looking for him, too.

It takes a lot of investigating to get to who has him and where he is.

Enola learns that a woman is the leader and she gets close to dying herself.

The book will be published on September 5th.

It's an unusual story and will keep you going until the end.

I enjoyed it!

This is a story about foxes and hounds.  The hounds follow the foxes but can lose them, too.

They ride horses and do jumps.  They sometimes get the fox.

The hound and the fox get into a battle.  The hound gets hurt.  They take the hound to the vet.

The man who got hit with a hammer maybe can't see out of his eye yet.  They keep close to him so the murderer can't finish him off.

It's an interesting story and you never know how it is going turn out...
