This is an early reader that allows the younger set to read Chandler's mystery. They are going out to stay on an island. They will need to make their own dishes, catch their own food and so on. Their Grandfather's friend got shipwrecked on it once and they are going to mimic him.

They find a bird that talks to them and they are sure someone trained it. But who? Then they find a shipwrecked boat and realize there might be someone else on the island. Can they find him? If they do, will he be nice or dangerous?
