Buddy just loves hanging out with his boy. And tonight they are going to do a sleepover at the school!
Albert Whitman & Company and Net Galley allowed me to download an ebook of this story for review (thank you). It has been published and is the sixth in this series, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.
I enjoy this series because Buddy tells the story. He's always disappointed when the children don't understand what he's trying to tell them, but he goes along to keep everyone safe and help solve the puzzle despite that.
There is a rumor of a school ghost and the kids aren't sure whether to be skeptical or scared. There's a scary voice in the library, but it was just a tape recorder. An order of pizza replaces any fear and when the movies begin, everyone is settled down and ready to sleep after the shows.
However, Buddy's boy gets up and sneaks out of the room. Pretty soon two others join him and they begin the hunt for the ghost.
This a cute non-threatening story that Buddy stars in, as usual. If your child has been reading the series, they'll want this one, too. If not, here's a great new series to introduce them to. Buddy will keep them busy and they'll be ready to go on another adventure with him soon.
Happy reading.
