Like dogs? Meet Lucy!
Random House shared this Stepping Stones Book with me for review (thank you). It's written for ages 6-9 and is available at your local bookstore now.
Lucy is a beagle puppy and full of energy and curiosity. She loves going for walks with Bobby and is even looking forward to playing a pirate at Halloween with her master.
Ms. Cooper must be a dog owner because Lucy is a typical dog. When no one is watching her, she goes in the office and spills coffee, knocks things over, and just generally creates chaos. If Bobby is going to take her in the parade, she'll have to be on her best behavior.
I especially liked how the author introduces a new character who isn't very friendly. There is a reason for that and it's a good message for children.
This is part of the Absolutely Lucy series, so you can share more books with your child if this story is a hit. If they love dogs, just get them while you're at the store and save yourself a trip back.
Happy reading.
