Dinoblock by Christopher Franceschelli, art by Peskimo

Here's a book that young ones will love.  It's like a board book but it has pages that lift and show more information.  They can learn all about dinosaurs!

Abrams Appleseed sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you).  It has been published, so you can grab a copy now.

The best thing about this book is that is has the pronunciation for the dino names.  The next best thing is that it compares the size of current day animals to the dinos.  It's easy to imagine their size and their diet that way.

The artwork is strong, has bright colors and is attractive.  I found myself turning the pages faster to see which dino was up next.  I think little ones will feel that anxious, too.

The good news is that if they get interesting in dinosaurs, there are a lot of other books and resources that will help them explore and learn about the one they've chosen to look up.  Why not share this book with your little one and try to pick out YOUR favorite dinosaur?
