The Little Moose Who Couldn't Go to Sleep, A Maynard Moose Tale by Willy Claflin, James Stimson

Little Moose just can't sleep.  A nice cup of tea at bedtime doesn't help.  Neither do other suggestions on what to eat at bedtime or just emptying her mind.  She keeps getting groggier and groggier.  What's she to do?

August House and Net Galley allowed me to read this book for review.  It's been published you can pick up a copy at your local bookstore now.

Poor Little Moose.  Someone finally suggests counting sheep and while at first it doesn't seem to be working, the Second Sheep shows up and takes her adventuring in the stars.  What fun!

I especially enjoyed the "Moose Talk" used.  There's a glossary at the front so you can interpret the words but most sound like the word that should be used but are just nonsense.  They would be wonderful read aloud!  If you're not careful, you'll have the words become household words and everyone will think you're strange...

You've never been to the stars and saw planets in plaid, have you?  You need to get this book so you can help your little one get a good night's rest just like Little Moose.

Happy reading.
