Anna Banana is reading and isn't ready to go to sleep. All her stuffed animals are but she's not listening to them. As a matter of fact, she bullies them!
First Second Books and Net Galley allowed me to read this book (thank you). It will be published June 17th, so make a note. You won't want to miss this one!
The illustrations are colorful, Anna has some really cute stuffed toys (a LOT of them) and it's fun to watch them try to get her to go to sleep. My favorite part is when she decides she's tired and ready to sleep and settles down. Then the stuffed toys get even!
They play in a band, jump on the bed, run around until she can't stand it! They do get their point across though. So with apologies all around and a kiss and make up, they all settle down to sleep.
This is a bright colored special story to share with your little ones. I wouldn't do it right at bedtime unless you want them yelling: I want to sleep! I especially liked the green fuzzy toy that looked like a character from Sesame Street. Which one is your favorite?
I'm Jo Ann Hakola, The Book Faerie, bookworm and bookseller. I have been selling books since January of 2000. It's a homebased business and I sell online only. Here is my website: http:www.bookfaerie.com I offer free shipping stateside. It's a one woman endeavor, and I love working for myself. I have over 6,000 books online now. I do book reviews from a reader's point-of-view and try to spread the magic of reading.
