The Maelstrom by Henry H Neff

This is the fourth book in the Tapestry series.  Mr. Neff writes an epic tale of war and good versus evil.  The problem is that there are good and evil on both sides and it's hard to decide who is who...

Random House sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you).  It has been published, so you can pick up a copy at your local bookstore now.

Mr. Neff writes a good story.  He mixes a lot of magic and a bit of steampunk to create a story that keeps your attention.  Fighting demons from the past is not conducive to a long life in the future.   No matter who you are, you know how to be scared of dreadnoughts.  Now add in mages and magic swords and you get the feel of this story.

It's busy, full-bodied, and a good read.  Max is even finding a love interest and who it is will surprise you.  She's from his past.  Her love for him will change her life, but she doesn't care.  She wants to be with him.

I really enjoyed this book and will be looking forward to the next book in the series.

Happy reading.
