Michael stops by her house first, planning to have a serious chat with Sebastian.  After all, a restraining order isn't working.

When he shows up at the hospital, he's not only shocked by her injuries but by her amnesia.  She doesn't even recognize him!  All he knows is that he has to protect her, and he convinces her to leave with him.  He smuggles her out of the hospital and hits the road.  She's lucky he's a doctor in training or she might have died from her injuries.

As it is, she's not sure why they are on the run.  And he won't answer all her questions, just some of them.

The story is revealed piece by piece and the ending was unexpected.  You might be surprised when the truth is revealed...
