Don't Blink by James Patterson and Howard Roughan

The tag line for this story is:  You blink, you die.  Too true!

Nick Daniels is chasing after two stories: The one on the legendary pitcher and the one on why an attorney was murdered when he represented a Mafioso.  He'd lost his last case, was that why?  Or was there another motive behind his death?  While he's thinking about that, the pitcher takes a dive off the building he lives in.  It's accepted as suicide, but he's beginning to think that might have been murder, too.

I expected some excitement with two Mafia bosses going after him to shut him up, but there are more players than that in the game.  Nick is in love with his boss (maybe), but she just wants a good story, no romance.

There is lots of action, Nick's world turns deadly, everyone wants to talk to him to influence his actions, and he has no idea who to trust...

I read this book in one night - you don't want to put it down and come later.  It's a well thought out plot and the story is well written.  It's also a very good read.  Why not buy yourself a copy and curl up in a comfortable chair with a cup of coffee or tea and have a good read?
