This book is a good look at the remaining lions in India. The women rangers work on being friends with them. I don't mean petting them but getting them used to their presence. They watch for any injuries or illnesses.
Lee & Low Books and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you). The book will be published April 8th, so you can get a copy now.
The pictures are brilliant and give you good insight on how they do their work. They also give you nice views of the lions.
They work with the locals teaching them how to get along with their lion neighbors.
All in all this is a nice look at a good conservation program.
