They are putting on a Renaissance Fair with various actors and all kinds of vendors. There is one actor who gets his laughs by being sarcastic and caustic. He's always putting everyone down. Meg offers to speak to him but the victims let it go. Just as they were getting ready to fire him, They find him in the woods dead.
Minotaur Books and Edelweiss allowed me to read this book for review (thank you). It's being published August 4th.
There are so many suspects, it's hard to pick one. Meg helps the police chief with things she's heard or been told. Person after person falls off the suspect list.
I was totally surprised about the killer. The ending is exciting because Meg gets threatened by two men with a gun. Good thing Grandfather comes to the rescue!
If you have any interest at all in the Renaissance Fair, you'll love this book. That wasn't my thing but I enjoyed the mystery!
