Little Mole Finds Hope by Glenys Nellist, Sally Garland, (Illustrated by)

Little mole is feeling sad in his dark cave.  It's been a long winter.  His Mom suggests they go on walk.

Beaming Books and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can get a copy now.

As they go out, he sees a bulb hanging above him.  He tells his mother it's dead.  She says no and tells him to remember the daffodils that bloom.  He thinks the trees are dead.  She tells him to picture them with leaves.  He smiles.  Then he finds a chrysalis and thinks that's dead.  No, his mother says.  Soon it will open up and let a butterfly out.  Do you remember butterflies?  He smiles and says yes.  Soon he has spring in mind and he's no longer sad.

This is a very sweet little book that would be good to share with your child at winter's end.  Maybe you could go on a walk like mother mole did.
