Living on a Spare by Shannon VanBergen

Nikki's boyfriend has moved on without her and the Grannies are trying to cheer her up.  The fact that her Granny had a heart attack doesn't make it easier.  She worries about her.  But a new case brings everyone back to life, even if they aren't supposed to be investigating...

Fairfield Publishing shared a copy of this book with me for review (thank you).  It has been published so you can grab a copy now.

One of the ladies from the other Granny group has been murdered in the bowling alley.  The cops pick up the homeless man who has the bowling trophy in his possession.  It was the murder weapon.  They jail him.  But the Grannies don't think he's the killer.

Before you know it they have the big cop dressed as a prostitute and they do up Nikki so he doesn't have to go alone.  As a cop, the homeless won't talk.  As a prostitute, they chatter.  The only problem was the cops came around and when everyone ran, Owen fell because he was wearing wedgies.  He'll never live it down.

But Granny gets a good clue and the group goes bowling again to break the case...
