When their daughter comes home from school discouraged and down in the mouth, her parents suggest she visit with the Wise Bear.
This is a series the author has written for young ones. He mentions common problems and then provides them with answers and skills so they can deal with them.
Publishing Push and the author shared this book with me for review (thank you). They have been published and you can get a copy now.
It seems they were giving prizes for schoolwork. The daughter got good grades and thought she should she get at least one award if not two. She didn't but another girl got three!
Wise Bear asked her what she was the best at. She could sing and dance well and the other girl could not. He points out we each have talents but they are unique to us. What one excels at another might not. You should build on your strengths.
I'm old enough to realize that's the truth. My greatest skill is reading. It's not the most exciting but it works for me!
Check out the other books in this series, there may be one that will specifically help your child. All of them are good, short, easy to learn lessons.
