The Stuttering Tattoo by Greg Logsted

Steven is just a regular high school kid.  He does have a strange friend named Carlos who is teaching him how to cook and how to do martial arts.  And now he's met a girl who has his tongue hanging out.  He really, really likes her and she likes him.  So why did she disappear?

TKA Distribution and Net Galley allowed me to snag an ebook to read for review (thank you).  This book was published mid-December and is available now.  Check with your local bookstore.

This is written more for young adult males than females.  I enjoyed reading it, though.  The story line is a bit far-fetched, but the author creates a good tight adventure with lots of action and plenty of mean people in Steven's world of normal.

How Steven reacts, how he responds to the danger, and his commitment to find the solution make him a character you can admire.  Steven's an ordinary boy with some extraordinary friends.

The story is fast-moving, the characters are interesting, and you find yourself hoping Steven wins and doesn't die in the process.  This book won't bore you.

Happy reading.
