Snippet always wakes up before the rest of the family. What can he do awaken them?
Alfred A Knopf children's books sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you). It has been published, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.
Just so you know, Jo Ann is NOT a morning person. Don't even try bothering me then because I'm a real crab. Even my early rising husband understands that now.
The first part of the book shows what a snail's day is like: How they eat leaves, paint the sidewalk, get piggyback rides and the like. The second part is all the ways Snippet and his friends try to wake his family. The illustrations are great fun and after all of Snippet's work, he ends up going to bed early. (My husband is napping right now. See, he is like Snippet.)
If you have an early riser or late riser in your family, you need this book. It's a fun read!
Happy reading.
I'm Jo Ann Hakola, The Book Faerie, bookworm and bookseller. I have been selling books since January of 2000. It's a homebased business and I sell online only. I do book reviews from a reader's point-of-view and try to spread the magic of reading.
