Jim Hanvey Detective by Octavus Roy Cohen, Leslie S. Klinger (Edited by)

There are seven stories in this anthology.  The detective is fat, his clothes don't fit right, and he blinks his eyes a lot.  However, he's good at solving mysteries.

Poisoned Pen Press and Edelweiss let me read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published August 10th.

He's a sneaky detective.  He's friends with most of the robbers.  He makes them think he's doing one thing when he's actually doing something else.  Sometimes he gets confessions, sometimes he catches them with the goods.  Each story is different and a new technique is used each time.  He doesn't always win but usually does.

These stories were written in 1923 and they still fascinate today.  I enjoyed the read.
