Fly, Fly Again by Katie Jaffe and Jennifer Lawson

If your child has any interest in planes or flying, this is a great book for them!

The author graciously shared a copy of this book with me for review (thank you).  It's being published today so you can get a copy now.

Jenny has always wanted to fly.  She's not sure how but she has a pet hawk and she watches him.  She thinks she might be able to do it and builds her plane.  She flies alright but she can't steer and she crashes in the yard next door.  Her skateboarding neighbor helps her build it this time and with a bit more knowledge, they cobble the plane together again.  Then they both go for a ride.

Will they make it this time?

Buzz Aldrin does the foreword very nicely.  The illustrations are by Tammie Lyon and they are lovely.  This book shows your child you can't give up, you need to try try again.  Along the way they learn some aeronautical terms and should be able to understand them easily.  This is a well done book with some learning thrown in.
