Nickerbacher, The Funniest Dragon By Terry John Barto

His dad has him guarding the princess in her castle but he really wants to be a comedian.  After all, the princess thinks he's really funny.  She tells him he should do what makes him happy...

The author graciously shared a copy of this book and his activity kit with me for review (thank you).  It has been published and you can find a copy HERE and the activity kit is HERE.

The story is fun to read and talks about following your dreams and beliefs.  I did that, that's why I'm reviewing books and selling them, too.  Books are precious to me.

This little dragon loves telling jokes and finds that once he breaks the ice with humans, they like hearing his jokes, too.

Kim Sponaugle has done sweet, whimsical illustrations that are very colorful and fun to examine.  The activity kit gives your child several activities to do based on the story.  There's a maze, you can draw your own map, there's a word scramble, and there's even door hangers for their rooms.  That's a nice touch.  There's a "put in order" page where they decide the order of the events in the book.  The last page is for coloring and with the bright colors shown in the book you can tell that will be fun.

This is a great present for the little one in your life.  Nothing is so much as fun as reading a book to them or letting them read it to you.  If you're nice, they might even let you color with them.
