Kira's favorite place to be is in the woods with the animals. She has a man trying to court her, but she doesn't want to get married. She knows she's not supposed to hang out with Hannah; everyone thinks she's a witch. She's not, she's just odd. And Kira mimics that to keep the men away.
Goddess Fish Blog Tour and the author shared a copy of this ebook with me (thank you). It has been published, so you can grab a copy now.
Kira is amazed to see Logan. He had been captured by the Indians and lived with them for several years. She thought he was dead. He remembers that she used to love him.
The author gives you a mix of frontier life, hints of Indian life, religious differences that came from across the pond, and a conflict between the two men who want Kira for themselves. She does love Logan, but Josiah Campbell is determined to have her for himself and will turn Logan in to be hanged to get her.
The story flows well, is exciting, and keeps your interest. It's set in the early development of Virginia and much of what was acquired there came from the use of force. Logan is a force of his own. And Kira grows stronger the longer she spends time with him.
Why not go on a horse ride with Logan and Kira and see if you would survive in the wilds? It's a good ride.
