Gallagher's Hope by M K McClintock

Gabe was only trying to help her out.  She was going to lose her little brother to the custody of her aunt if she wasn't married.  So he married her.  It was in name only; it was just to help her.  Then things got more complex...

The author and Goddess Fish Blog shared a copy of this book with me for review (thank you).  You can purchase a copy on Amazon now.

Gabe's older brother, Ethan had found his wife in the first book of this series, Gallagher's pride.  I read this one as a prelude to the actual book I'm reviewing and I enjoyed it.  Both Ethan and his wife were stubborn and had pride to a fault.

Gabe wasn't ready to settle down yet, but he just couldn't see this sweet new schoolteacher lose her brother.  Besides he was growing fond of both her and her brother.

This author writes a good story with a Western setting.  The land and the people were rough and tough in that day and the Gallaghers are up to the challenge.  Ethan is the oldest, Gabrielle is next, and Eliza is the baby and she's as rough and tough as the boys.

Trying to protect Isabelle and her brother and Ethan's wife and baby turns into a full-time job.  Then the cattle are stampeded, Andrew is kidnapped, and the war between the ranchers escalates.

The story is fast paced, filled with action and makes you both happy and sad.  Life is not easy for the Gallaghers.

I think I know what the third book is going to be about.  Eliza appears to have her eye on somebody.  But we'll have to wait and see.  I hope not for long!

MK will be awarding an ebook copy of the first book of the series (Gallagher’s Pride) to one random commenter at every stop and a $25 Amazon GC to a randomly drawn commenter at the end of the tour.  She'll also award a $15 Amazon GC to one randomly drawn host from her tour.

Happy reading.
