Young Artists Draw Manga by Christopher Hart

Would you like to learn how to draw Manga yourself?  Here's a real good resource tool for getting started and making your own artwork!

Watson-Guptill sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you).  It was published September 13th, so you can find a copy at your local bookstore now.

I was impressed by this book.  I'm not the least bit artistic.  However the drawings Mr. Hart gives you shows you how to create perspective, where to place the features, and more.  There are twelve pages of basic face, eyes, body, hands and feet construction.

The best part is his Manga characters.  There are 120 of them and he shows you by illustration how to draw them.  There's no text in that section.

If you have a child that likes to draw, this would make an excellent gift.  They can learn different skills and they can even use what they have learned to create their own artwork.  If they draw the Faerie Girl, have them send me a copy, OK?

Happy reading.
