Evie is a Strawberry Fairy who lives in teapot and raises strawberries in her yard. When it begins raining, she's happy because it waters the strawberries. But then it doesn't stop and soon her yard is flooding. She has to find new quarters for winter but where?
Floris Books shared this book me to read for review (thank you). It will be published May 14th.
As she searches for a drier place, she finds a small birdhouse that has fallen and been forgotten. It's in a nice location, so she gets it set up, cleaned up, and then she's ready to move. She even moves her strawberries. She has lots of friends to help so it's not a big job for her. But then her berries still won't grow. What has she forgotten?
This book is in vibrant colors and beautifully illustrated. The story is cute and Evie does remember what she forgot. This is a sweet story for young ones.
It hits home for me because I used an old chicken house as a make believe home for me when I was young. It takes work to restore an old building and make it ready for reuse.
