Crocodile's Crossing by Yoeri Slegers

Home isn't home anymore for the crocodile, so he sets out on a journey to find another.  Unfortunately much of the land is already developed and no one wants to share with a great big green fella with sharp teeth.  They run him off.  He keeps looking.

Flyaway Books and Edelweiss gave me the opportunity to review this book (thank you).  It will be published April 14th.

He searches and searches until he runs out of food.  He's also very tired so he lays down to nap.  When he wakes up he's surrounded by mice.  The most amazing part is that they are friendly.  They offer him cheese, which he samples and likes and he asks if it would be OK to build a home there.  They say yes.  He even saves one from drowning, but he's still missing something.  Then he gets another surprise...
