Olivia has a pet owl and they do everything together!
Abrams sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you). It has been published so you can pick up a copy now.
This is a board book done for very young readers and the illustrations are luscious. David McPhail writes stories that will capture the heart of the reader and his illustrations are whimsical and fun. This would make a good bedtime book. Both Olivia and the owl are going to sleep at the end.
Since I doubt you have an owl pet, you might get your child a stuffed owl to hang out with. When Olivia has a snack, owl watches. Even a stuffed owl can do that!
The story is filled with Olivia's activities and ends with her bedtime. Why not read it to your young one and give them their favorite pet to hold. Maybe both of them will be asleep when you're done reading...
