Peep wants the egg to hatch so she will have a friend to do things with. Egg is a scared of the great big world and says it won't hatch.
The author sent me a copy of this book during a giveaway. It has been published so you can buy a copy now.
Children's picture books are a favorite of mine. Joyce Wan illustrates this one with simple lines and graphics and basic colors.
As Peep keeps suggesting what they can do together, the Egg says no and gives the reason why it scares it. Peep persists. The answer remains no. Finally Peep is leaving and Peep hasn't told Egg its good night story. How can Egg get her to share the story? Guess what? He hatches!
It's a simple story to make a child smile. Your child might even want to do some of Peep's suggestions. When's the last time you sat outside and looked at the stars? We do that a lot in New Mexico. Give Peep and the stars a look!
