Crush by Gary Paulsen

Kevin has decided Tina is the girl for him.  The only problem is that makes him tongue-tied and clumsy.  That's not the best way to attract a girl.

Random House Kids sent me a trade paperback of this book for review (thank you).  It's now available at your local bookstore.

Kevin is a disaster walking.  He's a good kid, he has a good heart, but his implementation of his ideas for getting ahead or dating always seem to backfire on him somehow.

When the new kid at school decides Tina is cool, too, Kevin has a problem.  He can't let Cash get Tina!  So he decides love is based on chemistry and tries to prove that.  Poor Kevin...

This series is humorous and is great for middle school students.  It's puberty at it's finest, as Kevin fumbles about in the land of romance.  I found it a fun read and they should, too.

Happy reading.
