The School for Good and Evil by Soman Chainani

This is a fantasy that takes the issue of good and evil and makes it the theme of the book.  There is a school that teaches students how to be the best at being bad and being good.  Sophie and Agatha had both heard of it.  Sophie was even looking forward to going; she'd spent her whole life practicing at being a princess so she'd fit right in.  Imagine her delight at finally being picked; imagine her horror to find that she is dropped on the side for evil...

HarperCollins and Edelweiss allowed me to read an ebook of this story for review (thank you).  It will be on sale May 14th, so make a note to pick up a copy at your local bookstore.

Sophie was only being nice to Agatha (a suspected witch that wears black and separates herself from other people) to get more credit for being a "good" princess.  Agatha thinks she's a true friend.  She's willing to do anything to get them back home again.  Sophie is willing to try, too, until she sees the prince.  Then she has new goal...

With a mixture of fairy tales and plenty of good and evil to go around the story is interesting and full of action.  It reads quickly and is enjoyable.  Why not give it a try and find out which school YOU might be placed in???

Happy reading.
