Samantha is into fashion and had been a buyer for a very elite firm. Despite doing an excellent job, her position is eliminated when the company downsizes. That's no big deal; she can find another job. Right now, she just wants to adjust and decide what to do next.

While Samantha is getting over the sting of her termination, the buyer at her competitor's shop is murdered! When the owner offers her a job there to replace the murder woman, she's amazed at her luck. It takes a bit before she realizes this new position might put her in a position to be killed herself.
This time she works with the police in an attempt to find a killer. She misses her boyfriend who is in France and not there for moral support. When she meets a new man who helps her get through her investigation, she's surprised at how he makes her feel. I think James, who is also in the world of fashion, may lose out to Dante in the future. It will be interesting to see which man wins her heart. It will also be interesting to see what direction her career goes. It appears being a buyer just isn't healthy for her...
