This is the story of a young man that has a brilliant mind and loves his twin brother. They do everything together. And their cousin, Elizabeth tags along. When Konrad gets ill, Victor is determined to help him get well. After all, the doctors aren't helping...
Horror, evil, alchemist works, and more fill this tale. If your young one hesitates at violence, this is probably not a book for them. But if your child enjoys adventure, action, impossible odds, and ironic endings, this is a wonderful book for them.
Victor uses information he finds in books that are hidden in a library forbidden to him to try to find a cure. He gets in touch with an evil alchemist and asks him for help translating the text to create an "Elixir of Life". Once it's translated, he has to obtain three ingredients. And try not to die in the process...
This book is busy from beginning to end. If you'd like to know how the book ends, grab yourself a copy and read it. It's written well, has a good flow, and is entertaining to read. I also believe there will be a sequel to this book; Victor's story is not done.
