He's trying to find his missing daughter. She's gotten on drugs, has an abusive boyfriend and has hidden herself from her family. He finally finds her in a local park, singing Beatle's songs and asking for donations. She looks awful and that's probably what makes people donate. She doesn't sing that well. Finding her was hard and now she doesn't want to come home...
Grand Central Publishing sent me ARC of this book to read for review (thank you). It will publish on March 19th.
As he tries to convince her to go with him, her boyfriend shows up and they get in a fight. He breaks the boy's nose. And suddenly the park crowd is on him. They think he was trying to get the girl to rape her. By the time the cops arrive, his daughter and her boyfriend have split and he's lost her again...
Simon is determined to find her. He doesn't understand the world she's living in but he wants her safe. He'll have to enter her world to ferret her whereabouts. He does and he almost doesn't make it back to the world he lived in.
Along with Simon's hunt, there's a private eye involved in another people search, two killers doing a cult leader's tasks, drugs, and more. The story of Simon's daughter is mixed the young men who are being killed and it's very dangerous. Simon develops a friendship with an odd person, his wife gets shot and is in a coma, and more people die.
Will Simon be able to save his beloved family?
