A Justified Murder by Jude Deveraux

She was a sweet old lady with a pleasant manner.  She even forgave people for the mistakes they made.  She didn't get mad about having green hair.  She was very pleasant about it.  So who would kill her?  What's even more confusing is that she was killed three ways.  She was poisoned, knifed, and shot.  Who would do that?

Mira and Edelweiss gave me the opportunity to read this book for review (thank you).  It will be published February 26th.

It seems to be a case of murder but it's a lot more than that.  Several people in town have secrets.  As they search for a murderer, they find out a baby died, one was stolen, there were more murders, and that almost everyone is not telling the whole truth.

This turned into a much more complex case than it first appeared.  The sweet old lady was not so sweet.  She blackmailed and murdered people.  That makes the suspects list real long...

The team of three meddlers who like to solve crimes keeps chipping away at the evidence.  Once they think they've found the killer, they get another surprise.

The ending in this book surprised me.  It was not what I expected but I can understand why they did what they did.  I also don't think these three will give up investigating any time soon.
