Out of Range by Heidi Lang

This a story of three sisters who once were close but have grown apart.  They go on a backpacking trip with a counselor and end up getting lost.

Margaret K. McElderry Books and Edelweiss books allowed me to read this book for review (thank you).  It has been published ad you can get a copy now.

They fight on the trip through the woods and play nasty tricks on each other.  But when they don't follow the counselor, it doesn't take long for them to get lost.  They still aren't getting along but as the days pass things change.

Emma falls in the water and almost drowns.  The youngest comes face to face with a mountain lion.  The oldest encounters a bear.  Suddenly, they find themselves sticking together.

The bickering isn't fun, but the end of the book creates some miracles and is well worth reading.
