This is a fun book where you push, pull and slide to see what the magical rainbow has done.

This is a story of a cult that is run by one man.  Her mother knew him in childhood, and she needed a place to stay, so she packs up her and her daughter and goes to join him.

It gets more and more dangerous.  Rainy gets punished often.  Will she survive or will she get killed like her mother?

The child is brave and survives the various places she's taken.  The dogs look for her.

Her father shot himself.  She has no parents left.  No one wants to tell her.

With cops, dog handlers, and Russian killers, it gets pretty sticky.  You don't know who is going to live and if the child will ever be found.

The small town has lots of gossip and you don't what is true or what is just speculation.  He's a member of a band.  Did one of his band mates kill him?  Or perhaps the judge.  Jules isn't sure but she intends to find out.  She asks lots of questions.  

As she gets closer to the killer, the killer realizes she knows too much.  Will she survive or will the killer take her out too?

In the meantime, there is another treasure seeker on the island.  He's an old man but he scares the kids.

Will they find their dad's map?  Will they find Blackbeard's treasure?

It's a good thing she has a sheriff boyfriend.  He helps her and she helps him.

Then the cult gets her and puts her in a concrete building.  Will she find a way to escape?  Can she find the missing girls?

This is a tale of Germany trying to win the war.  It's a good thing they have Sherlock's daughter there to figure things out.

First the blue diamond is stolen, then some secret maps.  The diamond was well-guarded and shouldn't have been stolen.  That leads to the suspicion they must have a traitor in the guard.

The beginning of the book is slow reading but as you go on it starts to get exciting.

The Germans have planned it out good but didn't expect Sherlock's daughter to be involved.

There are multiple answers but when they kidnap Watson, she really puts her mind to it.

It's an interesting mystery.

This is a cute tale and it's based on a true story.  Emmett is small and falls out of the back of the truck transporting him.  He's all alone and scared.

A woman finds him and takes him home to her foster family.  He meets Jez, a kitten, who tells him he's a kitten, too.  They become fast friends, sleep together, play and eat together.  But Jez tries to make him behave like a cat and that doesn't work well.

Then Jez is adopted, and Emmett is alone again.  The lady takes him to a farm and he's happy.

Jez and Emmett get a surprise at the end of the book.  It is sweet.

This story is rough and tough.  Everyone is out for themselves and cares not what happened to their partner.

There are con men, a man dying from cancer, a young girl, and more characters besides.

The con men do OK but have trouble when the young girl hears their plans.  She runs and they try to find her.

The old man has a run in with them, too.  They intend to kill him.

As the story goes on, people die, the money changes hands several times, and you aren't sure how this going to end.

It's a good mystery.

This a story of three sisters who once were close but have grown apart.  They go on a backpacking trip with a counselor and end up getting lost.

They fight on the trip through the woods and play nasty tricks on each other.  But when they don't follow the counselor, it doesn't take long for them to get lost.  They still aren't getting along but as the days pass things change.

Emma falls in the water and almost drowns.  The youngest comes face to face with a mountain lion.  The oldest encounters a bear.  Suddenly, they find themselves sticking together.

The bickering isn't fun, but the end of the book creates some miracles and is well worth reading.

When they show up dead, she becomes the main suspect because her weapons killed them.  But she didn't do it...

She's Russian and was a killer for a while.  But there are Mafia involved.

I was surprised at the killers.

It's an interesting tale with all kinds of facts.  The further you read you wonder how it is going to turn out...

With con men and liars, how do you look for a missing man?

Charlie is a happy, nice man.  But he has borrowed a lot of money and lost it.  Those he borrowed from are after him.

Elise is a detective that had cancer.  When she goes back to work, she takes on this case.  She asks lots of questions and look for connections.  The more questions she asks, the more crime she finds.

This police procedural is well thought out.  The more you learn,  the less you know. 

Where is Charlie?  How many folks will end up in jail?

It's a good read.

Tomorrow is a Brand-New Day by Davina Bell, Allison Colpoys (Illustrated by)


This little girl has a bad day.   Everything she does is wrong.  She feels like a failure.

Billy finds a boat at the bottom of the ocean.  He tries to get it loose but has no luck.  Then a shark comes up and says it won't bite but it will help.

Little Polar Bear Take Me Home by Hans De Beer


Little polar bear is looking for a snack and takes it to the trains that are waiting on the tracks.  He puts it on the floor and all of a sudden, it's gone!

He's amazed to see a Siberian tiger cub on the train.  It's hungry so he lets it eat his food.  Then he gets on the train and tells the tiger to take a nap.  Unfortunately, he falls asleep too.  Then train goes on a trip.

They find the tiger's parents and luckily, the dad takes the polar bear home and they admire the waves of the ocean.

The polar bear's dad finds them, the kids and the parents become friends.  They agree to visit each other.

The illustrations are lovely, and the story is cute.  I think your child would enjoy it!

There are several references in the stories giving you background.

The stories are interesting, and you never know how they are going to turn out.  If you like mysteries, you'll like this book.

This woman's life was not easy.  She had many traumatic experiences in her life but she never gave up.  She lost a child, lost a husband, divorced a few more, had a child who lived.  And in the end she was happy.  What more could you want?

She had a good job, enjoyed sex, and fell in love several times.  I admire how she never gave up.  Life doesn't always turn out like you plan it...
