She's getting ready to go on vacation and is looking forward to it.  It's been a long exhausting process but she finally has their prime author's next book ready to print.  She certainly wasn't expecting to be accosted in the hallway by a man who is accusing her and the author of plagiarism.  She knows it can't be true.  She also knows that she has to investigate it now.  So much for her vacation...

Claire knows she has a good book with a very sell-able story.  Why should she believe this man who says he got a review copy and it's already been written by one of his students?  He's evasive when she asks him questions.  She finally looks him in the eye and says:  "Prove it."

She has an elusive author that is a recluse; his student won't reveal her location.  They work together to try to find clues but the closer they get, the more dangerous it is.  When they find the girl, she's dead.  They get locked in a house and a fire set.  Tony's car blows up.  And the police think that Tony is the killer.

This is suspenseful read with a twist at the end that I didn't see coming.  Claire and Tony are attracted to each other but don't know if they can trust each other.  There's lots of action, a bumpy romance, and a surprise ending.  What more could you ask for?
