Shapeshifter Book 2 by Diana Bastine

Here is an interesting tale of creatures from the world we don't see:  fairies and other things that go bump in the night.  What happens when someone tries to steal the power of immortality from fairies?

The author graciously sent me a copy of this book for review (thank you).  You can purchase this book and the first book in this series on Amazon now.

Caitlin is an American born child who has moved to Ireland with her father, Niall, after her mother's death.  She loves Ireland but will be graduating soon and she's having trouble deciding if she wants to go to college stateside or here in Ireland.  Adding to the weight of her decision is an attraction to Fortescue.  He's her friend, but it's growing into more than that.

When she finds out her cat is actually a fairy (shapeshifter, you know), she then gets involved in trying to find out why fairies are missing.  They often go their own ways, but now they are not returning.

This is a light read and appropriate for young adults.  There are gay relationships in the story so if that subject matter bothers you, avoid this book.  The relationships are portrayed as normal, just same sex, and did not impact the story for me.

I enjoy the world of fantasy.  This story flows well, has exciting moments, and kept me reading.  Why not take a walk through the world in between and meet some unusual creatures?

Happy reading.
