Angel's Ink: The Asylum Tales by Jocelynn Drake

Warlocks, elves, a troll, the Grim Reaper and more populate this story.  It's a dark paranormal fantasy that will hold your attention and keep your interest.

Harper Voyager and Net Galley allowed me to download an ebook of this story to read for review (thank you).  It will be on sale October 16th, so check with your local bookstore for a copy.

Gage is top quality tattoo artist who can imbibe his tattoos with a bit of "extra".  It's almost like adding a charm to the tat.  The problem is that the woman he is trying to help by giving her wings before she dies from cancer gets almost too much help; she's now immortal.  The Grim Reaper is very unhappy about that and says it's either her or Gage who will be collected in three days.

On the other hand, Gage's  elf employee that suddenly has elves trying to take her back home to be the King's courtesan and bear his children.  Gage just happens to be in love with her and doesn't want to let her go.

And then there is that old enemy he has from when he was studying to be a warlock.  He's back and trying to kill him now.

You won't be bored reading this.  It's a fast paced story with interesting other world characters and I found it very easy to empathize with Gage and his family of employees.

I enjoyed this read and think you will, too, especially if you have an interest in paranormal fantasy.  It's a good adventure and I will be watching for the next in this series.

Happy reading.
