The Tiptoe Guide to Tracking Fairies by Ammi-Joan Paquette

This children's book is cool.  There are beautiful nature pictures with fairies added.  You can go out in your yard and find fairy magic in the plants, even if you only have dandelions!

Tanglewood and Net Galley gave me the opportunity to read this book in ebook form (thank you).  It has been published and you can find a copy at your local bookstore.  I bet you can guess that the Book Faerie would really like this book, am I right?

The best part is that they make you look at your plants and flowers differently.  You will see things you probably never noticed before while trying to get a glimpse of a fairy.  There's magic in nature all the time, you just need to learn how to see it.  If you have moths and butterflies in your yard, you can pretend their wings are the little fairy skirts flitting away.  Hummingbirds have always reminded me of fairies, too.

What can you find in your yard or garden that brings fairies to mind?  Let your little one suggest ideas, too.  Children see things through different eyes and have more imagination.  Take a walk and find fairy treasure; what could be more fun?

Happy reading.
